This class is intended to be taken after the Introduction to Knitting class. You'll learn how to bind off (perfect for finishing your stitch marker holder, if you haven't yet!), the long-tail cast-on method, and the purl stitch.

- DK yarn and knitting needles that produce a fabric you like. The yarn and needles from Introduction to Knitting would work perfectly.
Prerequisites: You must be able to knit without assistance. Sadly, Rachel will have to ask you to sit out class if you can't, as there won't be enough time to go over the knit stitch and still cover everything else.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
1. Cancellations at least five days before a class are subject to a $5 processing fee. Cancellations between two and five days before the class start date are subject to a 50% charge. Cancellations made within two days of class are not eligible for any refund.
2. If a class is cancelled or rescheduled, we will contact you by phone or email to reschedule or offer you a class credit.
Instructor Bio
Rachel is the owner of Yarning Fiber Arts. She taught herself how to knit in 2001 and has averaged several hours of knitting every day since 2018. Though she is accomplished in many kinds of knitting, her favorite is lace shawls--the more intricate, the better! Knitting is a spiritual practice for her and has brought her infinite peace and joy. She would be honored to share the practice with you and is eager to support you in your fiber arts journey. Rachel is grateful beyond words to have the passion and the means to bring Yarning to life...thank you for your part in it!
